PROJECT:
Complete website redesign for the Downtown New Westminster Business Improvement Association (Downtown New West BIA).
MY PROCESS:
Research, Wireframes, Mockups, Design
CHALLENGE:
The goal of the website redesign was to modernize the aesthetic, to be responsive for a variety of screen sizes, and to improve the user experience by helping users explore local businesses and events in Downtown New Westminster. The redesigns will be integrated to a new content management system that will be developed by an external team of developers.
VIEW WEBSITE:

______
NAVIGATION REDESIGN
I’ve redesigned the navigation menu to consist of 6 tabs with sub-navigations in order to organize the different content sections on the website. There are over 400+ business members within the association and each of these were reorganized into one of 8 categories: Eat, Shop, Play, Stay, Live, Learn, Work, Say I Do.

______
WIREFRAMES
I’ve created high fidelity wireframes to map out the new website structure and page layouts. This would allow me to improve the user experience by easily organizing a large amount of content in a digestible manner. Example – Home page wireframes: The first section consists of a splash image showcasing recent events in Downtown New West and below are 4 sections (Businesses, Events, Blog, and Social), each highlighting different areas for the user to explore the website.
